We opened our doors in Art Central located in Calgary as of March 1, 2008. Culture Shop was born from love of travel and anthropology. The Culture Shop promotes social and economic progress of talented artisans in developing countries by marketing their products in a fairly-traded manner.

My passion for travel led to begin this shop after owning Amos and Andes Imports in Eau Claire Market since Sept 2005. I wanted to bring the exciting offering of personal and decorative accessories sourced from artistic crafts people from around the globe.
I get a chance to meet and keep long lasting business relationships and to be able to showcase talented artists. What I truly love about travelling is to be able to experience "non-branded" items, things that are a little rough around the edges, the small handmade "imperfections" that are made with love and devotion. I am passionate about bringing culture to Calgary and absolutely love doing it! |
